The Brussels born designer, Diana Von Furstenberg first appeared in the fashion world in the 1970’s. She decided to become a fashion designer when she became engaged to her first husband, Prince Egon von Furstenberg. This dress had such a powerful influence on the fashion world that a example now hangs in the collection of the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Council of Fashion Designers of America awarded her a lifetime achievement award in 2005 and in 2006 they named her their president. Click here to link into her home website. I have never owned a wrap dress, but they are so pretty and seem very comfortable at the same time. I think she's be a great addition to the judging team. I hope I will have time to watch it this Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteIs she one of the main judges or like a guest judge? I've only seen this show a couple of times but I like it. When did it's season start?
